Aesop Terms of Service

Welcome to Aesop. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Aesop mobile app and related services (the "Service"), operated by OwlCode Solutions LLC ("Aesop," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using Aesop, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use Aesop.
- If you are between 13 and 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
- By using Aesop, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
2. Accounts
- Creating an account automatically makes you a Reader.
- You may also submit content as a Writer, subject to our review and approval.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Content Submissions
- As a Writer, you retain all copyright in your work.
- By submitting content, you grant Aesop a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute your content through the app.
- Content is subject to editorial review and may be edited or declined at our discretion.
- You may remove your content at any time, but we may retain copies for backup, legal, or compliance purposes.
4. Community Standards
You agree not to post, submit, or share:
- Plagiarized or infringing works.
- Hate speech, harassment, or threats.
- Sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise harmful material.
- Spam, scams, or commercial promotions.
Group messaging and comment features must be used respectfully. Aesop may remove or suspend accounts for violations.
5. Intellectual Property
Aesop's name, logo, design, and software are owned by us and may not be copied or used without permission. Writers retain rights to their work but grant Aesop the license outlined in Section 3.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using Aesop, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, harm other users, or misuse the Service.
8. Disclaimers
Aesop is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be secure, error-free, or available. We are not responsible for the actions or content of users.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aesop is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim related to your use of the Service will not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months (if any).
10. Governing Law & Disputes
